Overview:

The ATS-PMC-1553 provides a flexible, single function dual redundant MIL-STD-1553B interface in the PMC (PCI Mezzanine Card) form factor. It provides the highest level of performance and flexibility for MIL-STD-1553B functionality. The ATS-PMC-1553 offers Simulation and Monitoring functions. The card comes integrated with a powerful software that reduces application development time. All databus functionality is supported by our advanced API (Application Programming Interface) & VIP (Virtual Instrument Panel).

 

 

 
       

 

Hardware:

The ATS-PMC-1553 is available with BU61688 DDC controller. It is ideally suited to work on a PMC carrier board on both VME and CompactPCI systems alike. The card’s single function architecture emulates a Bus Controller or 31 Remote Terminals or Bus Monitor or RT/MT modes. Polling and interrupt generation are also provided.  A 68-pin SCSI connector is provided for I/O connectivity. The card is compatible in both 5V and 3.3V PCI signaling interfaces. An external trigger input can be provided when functioning in the BC mode.

Virtual Instrument Panel

The ATS-PMC-1553 card comes with a “Virtual Instrument Panel” providing interactive control of all MIL-STD-1553B features. The control interface appears on the computer display & user manipulates these controls with a mouse/trackball or keyboard. The purpose of Virtual Instrument panel is to help the user (mostly system integrators) to quickly setup & use the card, just like a stand-alone instrument with physical front-end knobs, controls & display without getting into programming intricacies.

 

Drivers & APIs

The ATS-PMC-1553 card comes with a powerful set of library functions to access the entire MIL-STD-1553B functionality. The drivers are designed in a modular fashion consisting of component functions & application functions. The user’s test program can be developed with a few calls to the card driver, by using the set of application functions provided.

 

Drivers and high-level API libraries for Windows 2000, Linux, RT/Linux & VxWorks are available.
