Overview:
 

 

The ATS-PCC-1553 card provides a flexible, single function, dual redundant MIL-STD-1553B interface to the PC card socket. The card can be used with a laptop, notebook PC or a desktop PC or any other device having PC Card interface. The ATS-PCC-1553 is based on Type II PC Card architecture and  the card is integrated with a powerful software that reduces development time. All databus functionality is supported by our advanced API (Application Programming Interface) and VIP (Virtual Instrument Panel).
 
       

 

Hardware:
The ATS-PCC-1553 comes with a 1 dual redundant MIL-STD­1553B channel. Configured with a controller from DDC. The controller provides 64K of static RAM. Built around the 16­bit PC Card architecture, the card provides a rugged interface to mobile computers and devices. It operates at 3.3V thus saving battery life of the host PC. The card single function architecture emulates a Bus Controller or 31 Remote Terminals or Bus Monitor or RT/MT modes.

Discrete I/O Channels-Optional
The card is equipped with TTL level discrete I/O channels. It comes with 4 general-purpose discrete I/O channels. These are pre-configured as 2 inputs and 2 outputs.

Virtual Instrument Panel
The ATS-PCC-1553 card comes with a “Virtual Instrument Panel” providing interactive control of all MIL-STD-1553B and discrete I/O features. The control interface appears on the computer display and user manipulates these controls with a mouse/trackball or keyboard.The purpose of Virtual Instrument Panel is to help the user (mostly system integrators) to quickly setup and use the card, just like a stand-alone instrument with physical front-end knobs, controls and display without getting into programming intricacies.  

Drivers & APIs 
The ATS-PCC-1553 card comes with a powerful set of library functions to access the entire MIL-STD-1553B and discrete I/O functionalities. The drivers are designed in a modular fashion consisting of component functions and application functions. The  test program can be developed with few calls to the driver by using the set of application functions provided. Drivers and high-level API libraries for Windows 98/ 2000/XP are
available. Sample programs for BC, RT, MT modes are included.  
Bus Monitor - Optional  
This is an application software utility developed for data logging, display and analysis. The tool can be used for data record and playback purposes.
